Long term food storage tips
Our food supply is loaded with synthetic chemicals. Before I warn you to stop eating everything in the store, I should mention that the human body can process minuscule amounts of some toxic chemicals and safely remove them from your body. The problem is that we may not know which foods have the nasty chemicals that can hurt us. So, we may be consuming more of a toxic chemical than our body can safely expell.
Here is a good way to understand the situation with our food supply. Let's say you sit down to a table for dinner and there are ten choices in front of you. You may pick any five items for your meal. If you pick all three of those items for your dinner, you will get very sick and could have some long term health complications. If you pick only two or one of the three items laced with the toxic chemical your body will be able to process the food and remove the toxic substance. (assuming you don't eat a helping of the toxic substance in your next meal) That is what we are faced with when we buy groceries. We need to be informed so we can make wise choices about which items to eat.
